Ragequitting, are you one of them?

Postby Captain Sensible » Fri Sep 18, 2015 2:05 pm

Okay, I see craptons of warhammer shyte up for sale on this site.

Question is, have you, or are you going to flogging your dust magnets now that GW told everyone to piss off or switch to Age of Danie?

I know I'm getting rid of some of this crap. But I'll keep some most treasured armies and stuff. Hopefully some of you putze... er lovely people will sell me some of the last few pointy ears bits or vampires nice and cheaply.

I'm sort of ragequitting. Got 3 armies 40k and 3 armies Fantasy. Selling 2 of each. And I'm never buying another GW model in my life.

But if you could afford to?

Cos I'm pretty much in the same boat as you here.

If money was no issue, I'd buy great looking models, like the new Tau Titan, but otherwise, after they killed Fantasy and made 40k unbalanced, i'm not interested in supporting them. Might buy second hand, cause then I'm not supporting them

I may have some High Elves up for sale soon. I am never going to get round to playing with them.

Quite a bit, but I have to go through what I have to let you know. They are all scattered in various cupboards and boxes at the moment.

I might still buy models from GW, but I probably won't ever play one their wargames again. I can not fault them on the quality of their models, I still need to get me one of the new Cauldrons/Bloodwrack Shrines.

I'm in a prolonged selling phase.

I want to see what Warthrone and KoW does with some of my armies, and then probably sell of 2-4 of my armies.

I'm definitely keeping my daemons and my Tomb Kings, but a whole whack of other stuff will probably get gone now.
Coprophilia - it's a dirty business, but at least it's better than staring at Dark Angel across the table.

holy doglog, unded flogging stuff? Doesn't that, you know, kinda run very counter to your basic nature?

I think GW really called it when they released the end times. WOW. Very very prophetic.

The release of AoS has given me a hard push back to my first interest - historical gaming. I love fielding vast numbers of painted Napoleonic troops across well laid out terrain (I don't think I've ever fielded an unpainted Napoleonic figure). I sold a pile of Imperial Guard and Space Wolves to buy that amazing Horns of the Buffalo Rorkes Drift set from Warlord, so now have more toys to paint. Once these are done (and I'll need a lot more Zulus), and my Harlequins I'll look at one of Bolt Action (1/56 WW2)/ Marlburian or Alexander the Great as a next move.

GW is unlikely to sell me much over the next 2 years. If they're around after that - we'll see.

My Fantasy armies are staying - Undead (Vampires/Tomb Kings) and High Elves are fun and I'll see how KoW and Warthrone work.
