After saying that I cannot believe that this bloke made 69 yrs.
I kind of expected something like "Damn the torpedoes, Full speed ahead!" Admiral David Glasgow Farragut (1801-1846)

Right! We have an update for turn 2, but before I send it on to capt Thys, just a comment on some changes to the campaign rules: [the updated rule pack will be sent out shortly].

The Campaign turn has changed slightly with a roll for turn priority being added. At the start of each campaign turn all the players roll for priority on a d6. The challenge order is estabished in this way. The winner may then challenge any other player to a game in a system of their choice. The next available player then challeges, and so on.

All fleet engagements will be 750 points. [yes raids included.]

Maximum campaign fleet size is increased to 1000 points. Actual engagements are still limited to 750 points but the additional 250 points may be used as reserves when fleet configurations are problematic.

NOTE: if you send a ship out of system for repairs, you will be docked its points value from the engagement. [ie: no free repairs allowed by using your reserves]

SUGGESTION:
Every game turn requires you to play a game. ie: no freeby turns allowed to take undefended systems.
As there are 5 players this means that someone doesnt get to play on the official game turn night BUT, every 2nd campaign turn the 2 'leftovers' get to play. ie: Marco and Charles need to play a turn of turn 2. Marco having not played on wednesday and Charles not having had a battle in turn 1.

This is importants because the campaign winner is calculated on Renown and people who miss turns [due to not having an opponent] or play extra turns [playing someone who missed a turn] skew the renown score.

comments?

Would rather prefer a 6th player than you will not have that problem, if planets is a problem the new guy can easily have mine, as Dark Eldar is raiders and we don't really care about taking over planets as we don't have resouces to keep them.

We just want your 'soul'

I would also prefer a sixth player and I will happily give up my secondary base as well. Unless we are going with the premis now that Necrons are building tombworlds all over the place rather than just eating peoples life energy... hmm we have more in common with the DE than I realised.

Also it'd be cool for a 6th player to start now as he will only have to have 2 fights to get up to speed with the rest of us - the DE and Chaos... I also know that DrGremlin was interested.....

I agree on getting a 6th player involved.

If they don't have a fleet perhaps they could use Az's Space marine Fleet?

... indeed, Azmodan. I've just returned from a terribly short break. And I'm eager to hear what happened with this turn 2 you spoke of. Although I'm not from "this neck o the woods" I would drive the distance between PTA and JHB for the chance of a game. I know this might sound odd, but my girlfriend would insist. (I've always before thought girls interferewith games.) So please let me know where and when. Thanks.
