BFG Miniatures...

Just a note.. I bought a Necron fleet when in Canada recently. Thats not the cool part. I ordered it online, paid $15 extra for postage and recieved it the next day! How cool is that!

So anyone looking for a game? The fleet should be up and running next week sometime.... [well 1500pnts that is]

Well I'm glad that the interest is starting to take off the ground for BFG... but instead of playing a full blown game of 1500 Pts Azmodan, why not start with something a bit smaller...

Check this out:

BFG Patrol Fleet
Here are the Patrol Fleet rules, which are the BFG equivalent of WH40k in 40minutes rules or WFB Border Patrol rules. They are designed as fast and competitive and it’s ideal for gamers who do not have too much time for larger battles. As the idea is based on small skirmishes between fast and light fleet patrols, there are a few limitations to avoid too heavy or hardcore fleets.

Patrol fleet rules
• Fleets are limited to 450 points.
• Use small table (up to 120cm*120cm – 48â€

I would like to give the BFG Patrol Fleet rules a go.

I have a Tau fleet - doubt I have enough points for 1500 which is why the smaller size appeals plus I need to learn the game again.
I also have the box set so I have enough models to make a small chaos and space marine fleet.

I have been going through the Tau Fleet book, and I am going to need some help in setting up a fleet. I just don't have the experience or game knowledge to know what I am doing! ;)

I am thinking of something along the lines of:
1x Hero class
1x Messenger class
2x Defender class
4x Orca

which comes to 420 points.

I'm always keen for BFG so you can count me in, not so sure about availability though but I have like a 3000 point fleet including that huge forgeworld star fort thingi
I spend most of my money on Warhammer and games, the rest is just wasted.

I'd like to give it a go as well but you are going to make me seriously grumpy by restricting the cruiser size. necrons get 2 cruisers. With the restriction we get to select from a list of 1. weighing in at 155 pnts, it is designed as a large fleet support vessel. It cannot go toe to toe with some 230 pnt imperial or chaos ships. That said I may dredge out the Space marines.... although Elis nova cannon will put paid to them before we can close.... ah well enough whinning, Nova cannon fodder it is! Count me in!

PS I'll be playing Necrons - that means there are SM ships available for loan if anyone is interested....

I chatted to Victor on the weekend, looks like he'll give the SM's a go. I know that there are other people interested in trying the system, If we can lend out a few ships I'm sure we'll get some more takers....

Also Griffinstone, let me know if you need some merchant/convory ships, I have some I can assemble should you need.

Since my time is limited and only get the chance to go in every 2 weeks my 1st game will be happening on the 25th of June... since its supposed to be "BFG in 40min" perhaps I can get to play about 2 or 3 games.

See you then.

Cheers.
