I am part of a group of 6 that plays ever 2nd Friday. We play 2nd Ed rules.

ok cool - i tried the 1st ed rules but when i play it down here we tend to use home brew rules either based on a d20 system or no and then on a d10 system similar to vampire

We pretty much stick to the 2nd edition rules and we all seem to enjoy the rule set more then we did DnD

I really like the 2nd ed rules.
We have played a few campaigns and thus I have a decent collection of 2nd ed rules and campaign books.
They're something terribly satisfying about personally murdering the enemy wizard-general. Wracking them is cathartic, like squeezing a great big stress ball, except you're strapping it to a massive metal religious icon and it's screaming. -cryptomancer

See my answer to Tristan's question about 3rd ed.
