@cliff: Awesome, thanks man. As I said before I would be keen on playing an actual game and seeing what its like. But my love for the Warhammer universe is real, and well, im starting to like the new fluff of the universe. Its what they did with the game originally which bugged me. Hahaha. GW has its claws in me once again :(

A friend and I tend to play AoS at the battle Bunker in Cavendish semi regularly, I would be awesome to have more players join. Alot of people tend to not give the game a try but its actually quite a bit of fun; even if it less complex then 40k or the late fantasy.

If you want to give the game a try we could always meet up, I even got a copy of the Generals handbook for the points. :)

So after a couple years of gathering dust my old fantasy forces are burning for a game. How is the Cape Town scene for AoS? Is there an online group somewhere? Where do you guys play If any games are happening?

Im not really interested in KoW is that the staple now in the Cape?

There isnt really any AoS or KoW happening in the Cape area at the moment. I've been looking for a game or something to jump back into. Playing BB atm, let me know if you wanna give AoS a bash at one point.

BB? Me and andre have been playing bolt action wich is ww2 28mm historical which i know isnt everyones cup of tea, but you are welcome to come over next time we play to come try it out. We each have 2 armies.

We have also recently started frostgrave which is kinda like mordheim but bit less technical, more beer and pretsely but quite fun.

Im keen to give some AoS a try though. As warhammet fix im getting atm is TW:w and i miss playing with my minis

Thanks for the game Dracan, was good to get the models out once more. We should do it again and pull some others in as well.

Yeah was a blast dusting off the old fantasy models.

Very supprised the world didnt end with us playing with round bases without movemnet trays... :wtf:

Jokes aside, im def keen on playing some more. Will be great if some of the others that played 8th could just put away the grudes and give it a try. It really isnt half bad.

We both learned some valuable lessons about how certain models act now compared to before. All considered I think was game was fairly well balanced with the exception of some of my shooting, but you now know to shut that down next time.

So Dracan convinced me to play and i hate to admit it but it wasn't awful.

Very brutal and quite a bit faster than our beloved WHFB.

I will give it another go for sure. And the best part was using fully paineted models that were buried in a drawer for 2 years

Haha yeah it isnt half bad a game. So now we have 3 players whoot haha.

Apparently some more players doing the rounds, care to make contact guys?? Nigel anf Bernard also sounded keen to give it a go, so posibly might even have enough players to start getting traction.
Fantasy revival cape town?? Hells yeah!!
