New Horuse Heresy rulebook

Postby Eonblue » Wed Nov 22, 2017 2:10 pm

So it has been announced, and redacted, and re-announced that the ruleset for The Horus Heresy will be an updated version of the 7th edition 40k rules.
how does everyone feel about this? does this seem like laziness or is it more fair, with 30k being more balanced in 7th edition than 40k itself was. or is this a good move for them, making both systems seperate from each other?
i think in a business sense its damn clever, forcing more people to buy into two different books to use the models in two different games

I feel it is a step in the right direction. For one I took my 30k fists army to many 40k opponents and maybe more than not destroyed unfairly, so on that note I feel it is a better move. Crossing armies between the two does not really work so separation is probably best. You are bang on with the business part bud, gw have been very smart recently.

As much as it is a good idea, I think if it was using 8ths rules i feel it would still be balanced in terms of how it was in 7th, but also allows new people who are interested to port into from 40k 8th. Surely more people would be interested if they didnt need to learn an entirely new ruleset.
