Postby dracan » Sat Apr 16, 2016 3:13 pm

Hi guys,

Started a German army for Bolt action over the past couple of months after the collapse of what was fantasy.

with this plog i would like to keep track of my progress of painting said Germans.

The hoards of grey plastic and bare metals. Uurgghh

Yoh! That is a horde – great collection and great painting project.

Saw some of your figures at the PWG meet - very well painted.

Your landsers might get grumpy pushing a 150 and Pak 40 onto the table... best you get a tow for those....

Thanks guys! The comments help to keep the motivation going. :)

As for the tow i only realised after the order that the heavy stuff cant move without one and I probably needed a tow. So a sdkfz7 and a transport truck or 2 are on the list of future purchases

Thanks all for the replies :D they help to stay motivated.

So the German war budget was blown and some more acquisitions were made....

At least command found it necessary to try and keep up with the painting, albeit at a slow pace.

Yegawds! You are a painting machine! Well done both on quantity and quality.

Nice coherent-looking force. And heavy-hitting. Must be quite a few points sunk into that armour?

Thanks GAZ,
Yeah its about 2900pts as it stands at the moment fully painted (not a legal combination though sadly, so not "that" heavy in bits hahaha), still have so many infantry to paint  the vehicles go fast luckily.

Hoping to finish the army by years end

Shew! That escalated quickly... :) A whole zug of PzIVs, and a whole zug of StuGs... Nicely done...

Maybe time for a "throw it all on the table at once" game... how many points now? :)

Haha yeah it has escalated a bit....

Had a 4000pts tank wars game couple of weeks ago which was fun. Its about 6000pts painted i reckon with probably another 1500-2000pts still unpainted

Still hoping to get it done before years end though.

Thats if the war effort doesnt get to many more reinforcements. But at this stage i reckon my german force is pretty complete haha. :silent:

Sooo i have been bit busy lately.
So sadly no infantry advances on the painting table, I have however fortunately painted all my vehicles.

And I am now officially finished painting German vehicles
