Nice looking game. A very well-selected and improved defensive position... were you playing a home-brewed scenario or summink out of one the books?

Did you use any of the desert-specific rules? If yes, what did you think of them?

Haven't a clue about where the scenario came from. I just pitched up and played. My first Bolt Action game. Enjoyed the speed of the rules. Didn't see anything desert specific.

nice looking armies and terrain!

Played some of the 2nd edition rules on the weekend and have to say i'm very happy with all the changes. Still the best rule-set around for 28 mm games imho

Cant speak for Jozi guys, but in the Cape some players are buying direct, and some are ordering through a guy who imports the Warlord Games ranges, amongst others. I know in the past he has sent some stuff to Gauteng players. Let me know if you need contact details.

Remember that 28mm miniatures (±1/56th) from any manufacturer will work so there is a huge range of suppliers. In fact, the rules work just fine in 20mm and 15mm as well...

Very interested in starting Bolt Action army. Does one buy directly from Warlord games or are there other stores that sell Bolt Action miniatures in SA?

Bit of both. There is someone importing kits on request. And, if you are in the Cape, you can contact the PWG guys to see if there are any secondhand armies available:

Also, many of the PWG players have multiple armies, so if you want to play a few demo games before you commit to a particular force, that can be easily arranged.
