Yeah I learned this the hard way myself - it left this horrible residue that made it impossible to paint. I ended up having to rewash the minis in acetone to remove the residue. Luckily metal minis so no danger of melting, but it makes me doubly concerned about stripping resin or plastic.

I've stripped hundreds of plastic models with Dettol. Never had an issue (luckily though I knew before hand not to wash in water).
